Threaded Signal Line Protectors
Novaris threaded instrument protectors provide surge protection for most twisted pair signalling schemes and are designed to be installed directly at the field equipment providing protection against induced surges and transients.
M20 and 1/2” NPT Threads
The threaded enclosure provides an easy installation by directly screwing into a free cable entry on the instrument. Common thread types such as M20 x 1.5 and ½” NPT threads are accommodated for. Other threads are available by request.

Novaris IDD2 diverters provide surge protection for isolated AC and DC power feeds. The IDD2 provides both common and transverse mode protection with earth leakage current in the microamp range. The IDD2 range was previously labelled SDD2.
All Mode Protection
Protection is provided for all combinations of lines (L-L, L-E).
LED Display
The IDD2 LED display indicates power status and thermal overload.
Passive Alarm
The IDD2 features a passive alarm with a normally closed connection.
Safe Metal Enclosure
Novaris power protection products are housed in safe, all metal enclosures. In the event of a prolonged overvoltage they will not catch fire or explode.
No Leakage Current
The earth reference for the product is isolated using a gas discharge tube. This means even in the event of a short circuit failure within the device, no current will pass to earth.

DINsafe Surge Diverter
Use DIN compliant SDD Surge Diverters for distribution boards or for point of entry protection in small industrial and domestic applications. Installing two levels of surge protection, incoming and distribution boards, greatly increases the protection provided especially if there is a considerable distance between the two locations.
All Mode Protection
Protection is provided for all combinations of lines ensuring the maximum level of protection is achieved at all times.

High Energy Signal Line Protection
The Novaris SL4 range provides 20kA high energy surge protection for two balanced pair signaling circuits with line currents up to 500mA
Multistage protection
In the event of excessive surge current, a fuse will rupture, protecting the earth from short-circuit.
Multistage protection
Following the primary GDT is a series coordinating impedance followed by a high-speed clamping diode circuit providing a safe voltage protection level for the connected equipment.
Pluggable design
The protection circuitry is contained within a removable top module. This pluggable design allows for easy removal and replacement. Reliable goldplated connectors are used between top and base modules.
Earthing
The SL4 range utilizes a base which can be locked to the DIN rail by a screw that also provides an earth termination.
Failsafe design
In the event of excessive surge current, a fuse will rupture, preventing a short circuit to earth. The red indicating flag on the module will be activated.
